    first bike build

    I am looking to start my first project bike. Currently looking at a Kawasaki 550 ltd for transformation into a cafe. A bit big but price is right.

    Your suggestions are appreciated

    you don't want to hear how wrong you are doing it...

    didnt offer much actuall info, but here's where I see it.

    ltd is a faux chopper/custom, so it's a terrible base to start with.
    you hinted at it being bad, but figure you will just work with what you have....FAIL!
    none of this shit is rare so no reason to not have the right bike to start with.
    if you can't afford to buy the right bike, then you can't afford to modify any bike.

    The only thing worth keeping off a 550LTD is the engine....even then it's no widow-maker as far as power goes.
