    New Guy Looking for Tires

All - new guy here, in Phoenix, doing three tiddler cafe builds simultaneously, 74 Yamaha RD60, 82 Honda MB5, and an 82 Kawasaki AR80. I am looking for tires for all three, 2.50 x 17 and 2.50 x 18 for the Honda and Kaw. I am running into some serious roadblocks finding tires that aren't "vintage" in every sense of the word. Now that Cheng Shin isn't importing street tires to the US anymore (except as Maxxis, and the sizes aren't even close in that product line) and the other brand that offers the correct sizes (IRC) has them only in what I would consider to be tread patterns that are a little "agricultural", I am seeking advice from you in this esteemed forum, as my new best friends. Advice?

Bill Gray has Cheng Shins in those sizes. He has ads in the vjmc newsletter. I have purchased several from him for my Honda 50's.

He may have a web site billsoldbikes or something like that.

Bridgestone makes a really nice tire for the modern Dream50 that you can order from the Honda dealer. I don't have the number handy at present but can put my hands on it if needed. Not Chengshin cheap but appropriately priced for great tires

I see Bill Gray has some tires on ebay , not what you need but it will give you a contact. Search Honda CL 350, he has some list there, WTGRAY is his ebay name

    IRC nr53 is not agricultural:

Gazelle's are probably the best in the cheap small mc tire selection but they are a notch street trackerish..

Update - Streetbikerider.com has the best prices on the NR53's, but they charge the proverbial arm + leg for shipping. Parts Unlimited is a bit more pricey, but I got them through Cycle Gear and they're shipping to the local store for FREE! Gotta love it.
