my bike is idling high... adjusting the idle adjust screw doesn't do anything. pushing the throttle forward will lower the idle, but i've got that push cable as tight as i can get it... any suggestions?
Make some adjustments at the wheel on the carbs.
yeah, should have said so but that barrel adjuster is tightened to the limit as well...
Is cable damaged? If someone has pulled on it the 'coils' may be stretched
Make sure you have slack at carb end.
There are two locknuts on adjuster, make sure its all the way down.(put both on 'bottom' if needed)
You don't have idle adjuster set too high? It may be seized and not actually turning
