1973 cb500/550/592 big bore (k and s switch wiring problems)

so i have been working on a 1973 cb500 for about three months now. so far the engine has been swapped with a 77 cb550 engine and then bored out. i used vintage yoshimura rods, new higher comp pistons and a few other goodies. the tank and frame have been painted as well as a metal seat pan. the frame has had 7 inches taken off the rear and capped off with 1/8th inch plate that was heat formed and then welded on. i started doing the electrical a week ago and i just cant get the new K&S switches wired right. i dont know what i am doing wrong at this point but any information as to wiring these switches up on a cb500 would be of great help!

    What is a K&S switch?
Picture may be a good idea

Dude. Think of this forum as a rare opportunity to talk to a group of guys with a vast reservoir of motorcycle knowledge. Many of the members here, like crazypj, have decades of experience, and probably know everything you will ever need to know in order to complete your project. That means you should think your questions through, ask them clearly, and illustrate with photos where needed. Don't make them ask you what the fuck you are talking about.

    These maybe?
    K&S Technologies

They actually have some nice looking switches I may be interested in for my build. No pricing on the web though, that sucked. It can only mean one thing, they ain't cheap.

I have to laugh when spell check says aint is incorrect with out the apostrophy in it.

Edit- Spell check didn't tell me I spelled "apostrophe" wrong though, go figure.

They don't look that expensive - in fact they look like scooter / ATV / Pit Bike controls you can get from China for little $$$.

Cheapy Chinese ones are in the $10-$15 range. I found some K&S switches on Ebay in the $45-$80 range.

the switches are a k&s (run/stop/starter) switch part number 12-0202, and teh other switch is part nmber 12-0055 and it is a (headlight/turn signal/horn) switch. just having a bit of trouble figureing out how to hook them up. pretty much tried everything that i could think of.Name: 429063_10151186685256714_163191493_n.jpg

i think the prices range from 30-100 depending on what model you go with. the ones that i picked up are right down the middle and have a pretty good build quality, and they fit the vortex clip ons quite nicely!

i had pictures posted last night but for some reason they arent here now. the wire harness on the bike is a stock 1973 cb500 harness. my issue is with the listing of hookups on the switches themselves. i used my fluke meter and all and still couldnt find out what damned way they hook up. there is no fault in the switches, and it just seems as if there is something that i have missed.
