Question new here and have questions....

ok just joined up here and really have enjoyed the information i have read....now I have a question of my own....

I have a 73 cb350 that im building....the brake switch on the bikes wiring harness calls for one wire green/yellow trace is the signal wire for the brake switch....the brake switch that in using (GSXR rearsets) is a 2 wire brake switch...black/white trace and orange....

should I hook the green/yellow from the harness to the orange and energize the black/white?

green/yellow to black/white and energize the orange?

green/yellow to orange and ground the black/white?

green/yellow to black/white and ground the orange?

    thanks in advanced!

All switches have two leads. Stock switch was black and g/y.

Your stock switch would get voltage from the ignition switch through the black wire, passing it on through the g/y wire when you pull the lever.

For all intents and purposes it doesn't matter which wire goes where; it's a switch. If I were doing it, I would put the b/w wire on black (from the switch) and orange on g/y (to the lamp)

    -Deek

EDIT: I should clarify that not ALL switches have two leads; some switches ground through their case and have only one lead. You don't have one though.
