Why not going the path of Egli or Rau chassis,
big diameter bachbone tube and the headstock goes right thru the tube, much more stiffer than attaching the headstock to the front.
Ran the analysis again with a 65mm*1.8mm spine, which yielded 14, 16, 85 % increases to the torsional, lateral, and longitudinal distortions respectfully. The total weight for the frame and sub frame with this thickness, just under 6kg, a roughly 1 pound saving from the initial thickness.
I will sketch up an egli styli frame and see what that gives in terms of rigidity and weight.
I will also see if a sort of tube based wishbone frame can’t be made to work for similar weights.

This idea i could get behind.
Two shots of egli TZ frames, and a Rau cantilever frame. Rau took over from Egli when he called it quits.
