anyone got a wiring diagram they would like to send me? i got this bike in the shop and the customer claims to have had it running on one carb....but the bike will not show me that it can get power anywhere.... i put the batery in and turn the key but no power.... ahhhh.... why can't we all just ride Triumphs or old CBs?

    Chikor,
Check the fuel pump. I know it sounds stupid but some of the Honda Shadows(1100 for suer) have a relay in the fuel pump that cuts out the ignition if it isn't pumping. You can't find it in the service manual, but it is there. It is under the black plastic cover on top of the pump. If it corrodes, you will lose all spark. The 1100s developed the problem in about 3 years from new, so maybe the 700s are catching up. I spent days diagnosing this one back in about 87. Honda was amazed after I figured it out. They sent an engeneer type down to the shop and then sent out a service bulletin on them.

Look on the starter relay for a 30 amp blade (lead strip) fuse. It will be under a plastic cover. I have an 84 500 Shadow in my shop (customer owns four BMW cars that I work on) and it had a bad main fuse. I replaced the blade fuse with an ATC type fuse holder. Your's may already have an ATC fuse on the relay. Check it. When it's blown, EVERYTHING goes dead.

Haha - I was wondering why Ken's post had his racing number under it.

I didn't notice the date and I was thinking I hadn't seen that before.....
