    seat mod question cb360

I'm a n00b to motorcycles but I've been looking for a seat to put on my 1974 cb360. There are plenty of nice seats for 750's, 550's, 400's etc. My question is, before I buy something, how hard would it be to modify seats made for bigger bikes to fit mine? I'm talking about the fiberglass tail style.
    thanks
sorry if this is a re post

    Jimmy,
Take some measurements of your frame as far as length and width goes and then check out " Glass from the Past". Just get something with close measurements and make some mounting brackets. If you want a straight bolt up item then forget it. They are probably not out there.

That's a cool seat but i definatly dont have the time or rescources to make my own.
I had never heard of a cafe racer until I randomly came across this pic

I sweat this bike. For the most part that's what I want mine to look like. At least I think so, I'm trying to get more pics of that tank and seat

Lucky for you, you have cheap taste. Almost everything functional on that bike is stock. From what I can tell:

    - bars aren't stock, but it's hard to tell what they are from this angle... could be clips mounted above the triple clamp, could be drag bars with a bit of pullback, hard to say.
    - aftermarket mirrors
    - modded, painted front fender (or aftermarket w/stock bracket)
    - a/m seat
    - no rear fender
    - can't see it, but taillight can't be stock unless mounting changed
    - cylinders, head, right engine cover painted black
The tank looks stock. If you've got a stock 350 in solid shape, you could get from where you are to where this bike is very easily.

I bought everything to make that seat at home depot. it doesn't look like the one in the pic but it's super easy to make one any shape you want it to be. I posted the building process in another thread. if your going to build a cafe your gonna have to get down and dirty and do some fabrication. none of it is hard and all these guys will help you along the way. I'm a newbie to cafe's but I've been around customizing for a while. these guys have helped me a lot!
