Shorter brake cables for my CB360?

Can you buy a shorter front brake cable for the CB360? I like the look of just the raw bike with no front fender, especially since I'm cheap and don't want to have mine re-chromed. The problem is since I have a drag bar on it now and eventually I may put clubmans on it so I have alot of slack and it runs right across my fender. I was looking to take some of that slack out so I can run it up the fork. Any other sugestions would be helpful too.
    Thanks

Motion Pro will custom make cables to your specs. It's not cheap, but it's top quality stuff. Cables can be shortened at home using a solder pot (do a search on this forum), but I wouldn't recommend it for a brake cable that your life may depend on. But there are those of us who laugh at danger (myself included)! Just so we're talking about the same thing, though, doesn't a CB360 have a front hydraulic disc brake? If so, you'd need a shorter brake hose, not cable. If a hose is what you need, disregard my above comments. I know little about hydraulic brakes because I don't like them one bit. FIY, my daily rider has no front fender, and life sucks when you ride it in the rain.

My '75 CL360 (my first bike in '76) had a front drum, so some of the early CB360s may have, as well.

I have made my own throttle cables, it was a PIA, but I got what I needed.

I would have to agree with whiskeysid, though. For a brake cable I would want it made by someone that does it everyday.

BMW had drum front brakes for a long time, many of which were intended for low bars (Europe, you know...). Depending on your nipple needs, you might find something in their inventory.

If you're looking for disc brake lines, try sling shot cycles for steel braided lines specifically for low bars.

I'm in the same situation. I'll have to give Motion Pro a jingle since I'm using different levers that have smaller adjustment barrels then the stock ones and the cable won't fit into it.

Yea it is actually a line, not sure why I said cable. I may give that sling shot cycles or Motion Pro a call. My daily rider has a front fender, this is just a fun project.

have any of you guys actually tried a re-useable swivel fitting?

it's easier than double flaring your own steel brake line and the beautiful thing is, unlike a custom made hose with swedged on ends

if you make it too long

you can simply cut it shorter and screw it back together again

they are good for 3000 psi

ptfe= teflon lined stainless braided hose

easier than connecting the dots in a kids coloring book

aeroquip makes the nicest ones but they will cost about 10 bucks where the cheaper ones are 5

you need number 3 size hose and fittings
