the alex or tim free megaphone giveaway contest!

o.k., dudes. since you both were clammoring on about not having a race exhaust a couple posts ago, i found something up at the rickey racer shop that lance said to throw away, and i automaticly thought of you two. it is one megaphone, with a baffle in it. it needs a bike that has a two into one system, and will need cleaned up and painted. i have some pics of it, but you'll have to email me for them. pipe measures 27" long, header connection is 1 and 5/8 inch id, meggie outlet (exhaust) is 3 and 1/4 inch od. winner is first one who replies with a properly written "why i deserve this old megaphone" haiku to [email protected]. i will send no pictures till i receive your haiku. first one wins it! all i need is a couple bucks for postage, or you are welcome to pick it up.

    peace,

    tex

    Tex,
I feel that the competetive Haiku need to be posted here. This would be of benefit for all the lowlifes that have never been exposed to the higher art forms. I also feel tthat we should all be allowed to critique the artistic merits of each piece. However, since you have the prize you should make the final choice. That way if we didsgree we can harrass you and the winner.

    Tex,

    Here is mine.

    Tim's butt! By Fancy Pants

    Time and time again
I try to ask myself why
I'm involved in such a sport.

    Motorcycle racing has complications,
    thrills at the same time.
    Complications are missing work
due to a hard fall on T3
is no joke because after that miss
    you'll be all broke.

    But thrills
    will definetly fall within
    the adrenalin of chasing
    Timmy's rear.

    Time and time
    again I remember
    the night when he drank
    himself to sleep
    and woke up feelin rearended.

I'll end it with a bang
    as timmy knows best.
    Be in the look out
    because my mega
    will be roaring past you
    this year and this time
    you'll be watching my end!

added bonus: Top ten reasons why I deserve it.

    1. I'm broke and can only afford eggs w/ rice for the wife and kids.
    2. Timmy does not have a 2/1 exhaust.
    3. Timmy still owes me money for a job I did for him!
    4. I look really good in leathers.
    5. I'm the only Dominican or Latin person in the USCRA PERIOD!
    6. My leathers are the color of the American flag.
    7. I lost weight and stopped smoking cig's (only cig's).
    8. I hate beer but like whisky.
    9. I'm a size 13 in shoes.
    10. I look real good in leathers.

PS. Remember that shot of whisky by the fire? Your my bro, man!

    fancy pants..

    Alex-

once again, you aren't paying attention to detail.

first, i'm not sure what they taught you at those public schools in the Heights, but poetry, especially haiku, obviously wasn't offered. hell, your title is even longer than a haiku and i'm not sure what "class" the rest of "poem" falls in to (i'm guessing that you were out on the corner break-dancing during English class). second, the stated rules (kinda like a shop manual....something you also ignore)were to send the entries to Tex's private email, which once Tex completes his judging will see that my email arrived before you posted here. third, your ten "bonus" reasons sound more like an outline for your next trip to the therapist than a contest entry. and finally, you go on to offer a bribe of whiskey to the judge (if i loose, i fear this will be the reason. however, you do refer to me as a bottom, which i feel will appeal to the judges and may sway things back in my favor).

so your "poem", much like your bike can't even make it out of Tech. but i came here to race, so i'm still willing to get out on the track with your unsafe, held together by saftey wire and duct tape verse and hang on until Tex waives the checkered:

    muffled

    i choose to ride fast
but my engine does not breathe
    the breath of dragons

    bonus haiku

    men's figure skating
    while performed by true athletes
    is gay, like haiku

see you in the pits with my hot new muffs
    tt

    timmy,

You were that whiteboy that use to get the beat down in my school. Break dancing is a art form something you (timmy) cUntry folks have no idea of.

taking the checkered is tim. photos have been sent!

alex, damn man, you should have at least googled haiku!

break dancing is an art. one of the four disciplines of hip-hop culture (the most dominant culture in the world). the other three are djing, mcing, and graffiti. yeah i'm down! god damn dj kool herc just spoke yesterday at my alma mater (that literally means old school, alex).

    alex, better luck next time!

tex- your right google would have been helpful. I should take up gardening and get a job with Martha Stewart. Try to get in touch with my femine side you know.

Kool Herc! You down Tex, I'm with ya. Btw, I'm sportin my old school shell top adidas right now. Been lookin for the funky gazelles with the gold outlining bands but couldn't find it.

I'll pay up and send you the cash for the shipping, just tell me the amount.

ps - I still look good in leathers.
