I've done it. Don't bother to plug the hole on the inner case. Just the outer case cover of course.

it says you have to remove the kickstarter. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> teehee!
yeah, i left mine open too, but ive always wondered if the plug created by the shaft made any difference. i mean really, since there is a huge passage way below there it shouldnt matter. but it has that little maze the oil has to go through. or the maze is for debris im guessing. so i just wanted to make sure i wasnt destroying someones motor just guessing it was fine. like i did to mine. and yes, there will be plug for the outer cover! ill try and make a few so if someone wantes em. I had them made befoe and gave them all away after rich peterson said i couldnt take the shaft out. even though henry syphers took his out. and i think he was running gp at the time. thanks though.
hey craig, so, you gonna make a few rounds of summit this year?? im pretty sure you can run your disk setup in v3, and probably do pretty well. if you run a drum in v1 youll have your hands full with the locals. mike ewer's pretty fast. but youll get to run with all the stocker cb's! it was cool gridding up with you guys at mid o. made me feel little with all that hp out there.

What size is your kickstart shaft?
I've got a bunch made up for 160's/175's
