    need fork springs

my cb650's seals took a shit while burrying the needle in the 85mph speedo (did i reach the ton?) up on i83 north yesterday afternoon. because i had it done i went by the shop that put them seals in on my way home. they pointed out the fuck front springs are. carpy says to just stick some washers in there but fuck, the springs are really too springy. anyone has some springs that would fit in there? the bike's an 81. how about a cb1100 full front end with the wheel etc?

I've got some springs from a cb550 which had extended chopper forks on it. Think you could make these work? Could you compress longer springs to help with the sponginess?
