Thinking about swapping CB350 forks and triple trees into my CB160 racer. The 350 forks are longer (to better fit clip-ons), stronger and available.

My 160 forks are bent, or I'd just run with them for now.

The stems are different lengths but I can get the 160 stem pressed into the 350 tree.

Seems plausible from here. Any issues I might be missing?

Perfectly doable...been done by a few guys in the club.
I've got 550/4 forks on my 175. I cut and rewelded the stem to shorten it. Which did leave me with an odd size of tapered bearing to use. The 160/175 use a very odd bearing OD on the bottom I think...something like 47.5mm.

I did the same thing as JohnnyB except that I used a CB500T front end. I ground off the weld on the bottom of the tube on the bottom triple clamp, pressed the steering tube through/down as far as I could and still have a boss for the inner race of the bearing and then rewelded it. I think I still used some type of small spacer/shim at the top to make up the rest. As far as the bottom outer race is concerned, it is an odd size. I contacted All Balls directly and they did not have that size so I got someting close and used hardened shim stock (you could use feeler gauges as shim stock) to obtain a press fit. Good luck.
