Any one interested in a 1959 BMW? It is an R69S frame with an R50 engine. Very good condition. I had the tank and fenders painted and striped, and replaced fasteners with Vetchs stainless kit. Has the Winkers but don't work, (I put on a low european bar and never wired them) Non BMW solo seat. I wanna get $3500.00, or trade for a race bike, triton or triumph or something. Nortons, too. In Portland, ME. I had it in the paper for 4 weeks, got a lot of phone calls, but the problem is the non R69 engine--It should have a 600 cc, just to let everyone know up front. At some point someone changed engines. Odometer shows about 95,000 miles!!! I bought this about 15 years ago in town here.

I'll take some pics in a day or so and email em to you.

Racing? F***** -A. totally awesome. A bit scary at times. (starts, when we all go into turn one) I think I can get better. It was only half way through this summer that I got over the death grip thing. When that happened, I started laughing my balls off inside my bucket. The crash was interesting, too. While I still have some pain, it was something that just "happened", and is part of the territory that goes with racing on a track.

The wife is still not happy about it. She went to Granite State, and I don't think she'll go to another race. oh well. It's kinda like if she wanted to start taking me to WWF smackdowns. I just wouldn't get it.

AND I have decided (well, almost) to get rid of the street bike- a ZRX 1200 that I've had for two years. I put maybe 400 miles on it this summer. The track is just cooler. So I want to get rid of the ZRX, the BMW, and maybe the 62 es2 Norton. And put the money into racing.

As a good friend who is now into ice climbing mountains that are over 20000 feet said to me, I didn't want to be on my death bed saying I'm glad I never raced . . . .
