I am building a bike and am trying to give it the look of the 68 500cc bike ridden by Percy Tait that finished 2nd at the Belgium GP. I have collected some pictures already but if you have any pictures of the bike, or any look a likes, or know of any posted on the internet and can let me know that would be great.

Thanks,
Dan

I've been looking in to it. I know what bike your talking about, I just can't find it in my books. I still have more to go through and I also do some work for Hutchinson Cycle who has many books and articles on early Triumph racers. I'll come up with something it will just take me some time.

Yep, seen both of those. So far the best pictures I've found are from the 87th issue of Vintage Bike. They ran an article on the bike. The pictures are just black and white and so some of the pictures are hard to see certain details. If any of you are interested in the pictures let me know and I will scan and email them to you. Thanks so far.

Later.

Daytona,

You might have seen this already, but...

"Classic Racer" magazine - Nov/Dec issue (issue # 104)

Feature/Cover Story (synopsis):
Alan Cathcart has a back to back test of Mick Hemmings' 500cc racing Triumphs. One is the genuine ex Percy Tait Grand Prix machine from the Sixties, on which his most famous result was a runner up spot to Agostini's MV at the Belgium Grand Prix of 1969. The other is a replica of the Gary Nixon/ Buddy Elmore Daytona machines from the same period.
