Some things that need to be fixed:

  • no front fork brace
  • cheap scooter shocks
  • emgo pod filters
  • no inner fender
  • tacho and brake lines way too long
  • no license plate mount
  • probably unsafe rear tail light/brake light
  • no turn signals
  • looks like zero suspension travel before the rear tire hits the rear seat bottom
  • straight pipe exhaust/no muffler?

So the one good thing you've done is you put actual tires on it and didn't go the firestone clown shoes.
But other than that it's a bike that is significantly poorer performing than the stock version in pretty much every single aspect.

If it has a title and the engine runs, it's probably worth $500-750.

Guess it doesn't need a plate mount if it's not street legal
& very hard to imagine that rear brake not being applied every time it hits a bump, I'd have to see that work to believe it. If you're going to mess with the brake lever position you need to run either hydraulics or a cable, the fixed length rods won't work anywhere other then the stock position.

... remember when you could buy one brand new with a full warranty for 600 bucks  I should have bought 3 of them.

Holy did you ever shorten that rear brake stay, might better just bolt it straight to the swingarm.

The only way you see a motorcycle like that on a public street up here, is if mommy is in a car following close behind it so the cops can't see it's not plated. I've seen a few of those already.

11 months on pipe burnt and nobody commented on a rear brake setup that won't work throughout the suspension travel, tells you something about pipe burnt readers.

Do you like it 10k worth?
The way it's constructed, the brake pedal would move position every time he hits a bump. That or the brake would go on and off every time he hits a bump. That would be the options if you don't put a cable on it. Car guy mistake.

Looks like both shift and brake pedal are in at 5 o'clock. Pretty comfy and functional.

It's a single cam brake and that cam will apply brake if you pull on or push on the actuator arm, and I'd be very disappointed if you track guys can't see why his rear brake is NON-functional. Did you never have to reposition foot controls on a drum brake bike that had a steel rod for an actuator arm?
The brake actuator rod needs to follow a similar arc to the swingarm travel, or he needs to float the rear brake so everything follows the same arc of travel, or he needs to replace the solid rod brake actuator with a cable system, or he could replace the rear shocks with solid struts so the rear wheel no longer moves up and down. Anything short of that and a rider will be in great danger.
If a mechanic safety certified that setup, they should lose their license.

Not to mention the kickstart lever has been removed, that will bite you in the ass one day when your electric starter takes a shit. Personally I try to only use the kickstart every time and only use the electric in emergencies.

On a good note though, you did just increase the value of my stock cb200, thanks bud👍

A bike that size couldn't be too hard to push start right? Provided its tuned properly...

At 235 lbs dry it's probably one of the easiest. The trick is to have enough weight on the ass end so the tyre doesn't skid when you pop the clutch

Not a problem, he left a great big open triangle space in the middle of the frame where you could easy install a battery.
