I'm still looking for a bike and I came across one of these locally. First off, is it a SOHC or dual? Secondly, how does it perform versus a cb750f? I can tell from the pictures that it has a bunch of extra crap I would immediately pull off for weight but the guy is only asking $900 for it. It looks real clean. Any input greatly appreciated.

The 900c is a DOHC chopper style bike and will take some work to get looking cafe. The coolest thing is that the bike has a 10 speed tranny (5 speed with a hi-low switch). The lamest thing is that it is shaft drive. They are plenty quick however. For $900 you should be able to find a 900F instead and to me the chain drive rear disc is worth the price of admission.

stay away from the v65 sabre. I am not a big fan and those bikes always handled funny in my opinion. If I have to have a v-four honda I would rather have a vfr interceptor (espically the vf1000f or the vf1000r)

the cb900c is a cool bike too. tons of power. yeah, its a shafty, but throw some drag bars on it with a pipe and have fun lighting up the rear wheel. they wont wheelie, but the back tire will spin for days! my old work partner had one. i rode it a few times. it was heavy, but god it would pull stumps all day. there was one a guy posted a pic of on here a while ago. it can be done.
