Hi I'm Tony from Ottawa Canda.

Bought this "No Start" 1983 Honda CB1000c in January this year and got it "working" with some aftermarket ignition, exhaust, carb kits and the famous cone filters instead of the intake box. Hold on to your shorts when poped in 2nd and 3rd!!!

Got a few problems with jetting problem that I"m getting encious to findout what other did to resolve these type of issues...

Thanks

Hi Tony, The reason you are having jetting problems is that pod filters directly connected to CV (Vacuum operated) simply does not work well. Your options are to change the intake back or replace the CV type carbs with almost anything else.

What TrialsRider said.

CV's are very economical, and if you want a bike just to ride around on as a commuter, Id go back to the factory air box setup. If you want it to perform better and push it to the ragged edge, then get new carbs.
