so sad. GLWS.

By the way - I think you need a better picture. the "chopper" forks look might scare away a few buyers.
Agreed. A better series of pics will go up this weekend. Yeah, sad but hey, they come and they go.

I'm selling to raise money to buy another bike. A 2003 BMW F650GS. It's one I've done service on for a customer. I know the bike well and the price is very fair.
I like those rotax BMWs - very sensible bikes.

I had to look up GLWS.........I'm not hip to the lingo......just hip
I've updated the post with much better pics, and I brought the price down a couple notches. :)

Geeto67, according to the research I've done on this model, the original F650 engine was indeed made by Rotax but starting in 2001 BMW brought the whole operation back in house.
It's back up for sale.

Warm weather is on the way in a couple of months, sooner here in NC, so I figured I'd list it .... again. :)
I just don't need a third bike in the shed so bye bye.

Nice bike! decent price. Unbelievable price if you consider the work you've put into it.
GLWS.
(I've never sold a bike on craigslist but shit I'd list that at $3500 or else you'll get the scum that offer you $1000-1500 for it.)

compared to some of the shit out there for twice that money.

What are you working on now? Are you vlogging it, too?

I love the new paint scheme. Very Honda's racing 1980s

As it should be. :) That's what I was aiming for.
So today this guy emails me about the Sabre. I'm asking $2250. Here's our email conversation, copy pasted. :)

Buyer - "I like the bike, like the old school vibe, I have $1300, I'll come get it tomorrow. If you want to deal let me know."

Me - "Sorry, not for that price!"

Buyer - "Hey I here... I can't blame me for trying. Shoot me a counter offer"

Me - "$2400"

:p

Spring is coming.
Hang in there.
Indeed! No hurry to sell to some low baller. :)
Installed new valve cover gaskets and a fuel gauge. Newly listed with a new price tag. Amazing how many people wanted me to "take payments". lol

People be broke right now. hasn't been a great recovery. There are places that would finance custom motorcycles - if they are asking you to take payments, point them to a finance company that would help them. Then you get the bike, they get to make payments, and everybody's happy.
