Seriously. Dead. Norton (the new Norton) is run by Kenny Dreer in Oregon - he acquired the norton name rights in the late 90s. Prior to that he ran vintage rebuilds and built the VR880s off of original norton frames and engines. Evan Wilcox designed the bodywork.

Last year production was all set to go for the nortons but early this year their investor pulled out and there were not enough funds to carry off production. All orders were cancelled, deposits returned and the project is waiting on a new investor.

If you gotta have one try finding a vintage rebuilds vr880, but these days used they are $12000- $20000.

Those VR880 are amazing.

all the interest don't mean naught when it costs $10 million initial capital to put the bike on the market.

In all seriousness though there are a dozen different things they could be hauling or they sold the trucks and they haven't been painted over yet. I haven't heard anything on the grapevine about a new investor coming in, but it is always possible.

I'm pretty sure norton didn't build any production bikes but they did build test mules (4 functional ones that have come to light so far), so if you are seeing them in Oregon chances are they are being ridden by employees or people close to the company.
