You can take off 18 lbs. by removing some bracketry that holds things together and remove much more weight if you own the bike by removing subframes and the gas tank and replaceing it with something smaller. The big thing I found was that as a 50 it was geared so the it was hitting redline at the end of the straight which I found non-useful everywhere else. I got a sprocket one tooth smaller in the front and found it perfect everywhere but the end of the straight. I could run with Ruffo first until the end of the straight but he is a better rider and his motor did have more over all pull. If I bought one I would by the big bore, remove everything, and then go 2 teeth quicker in the rear.
