Are these good bikes? I really can't find too much on the web about them other than one posting where the guy said they eat chains ever year or two.

SOHC CB's and Kaw 1000's, on the other hand, are like porn stars... they're all over the net.

Trust me when I say this, I am a Honda guy. The only reason I am interested in it is because it's a Twin and it's 750cc displacement. It has been my thought since I was a young man that there is "No replacement for displacement". I also thought it would be a little torque(er) than the inline 4 of my '78CB750.

Lastly, comparing them to a naked woman...you must not have had the experiences I have with women. If they're too ugly to look at naked, I'm ususally too drunk to remeber!

Trust me when I say this, I am a Honda guy. The only reason I am interested in it is because it's a Twin and it's 750cc displacement. It has been my thought since I was a young man that there is "No replacement for displacement". I also thought it would be a little torque(er) than the inline 4 of my '78CB750.

I had a buddy in New Orleans with one and I have to say...leave it where you found it. I never did understand why Kawasaki felt the need to have a 4 cylinder 750 and a twin cylinder 750 out at the same time. the kz750 four is an awsome bike nimble, quick, everything you want in a kz900/1000 but with less cc's. The KZ750 twin is slow, heavy, akward and in my friend's case plagued with electrical and carb issues to no end. And they look like the retarded off spring of a crusier and a sport bike. I would consider them the low end of the spectrum on the UJM scale. Katrina did my buddy a favor by putting that bike out of its misery.

Although being a parallel twin the kz750 twin doesn't have the parallel twin feel like a triumph or yamaha xs650 has. The motor is way to smooth and actually feels like a 4 cylinder that is down on power (IE the fucker has no balls). As a former kz400 owner, kawasaki twins are just oddball bikes to begin with (honestly who needs four chains ratteling around inside a motor?) and are best avoided unless the deal is too good to pass up (like free or under $300). The best kawi twin I have heard from other owners is the kz650. For some reason these bikes have carved out a little niche in the mediocrity that would otherwise be a kawi four stroke twin (I should mention kawi parallel twin two strokes are super fun and somewhat overshadowed by the triples). The people I know who own kz650 love them, it doesn't make any sence to me but I have firends that won't part with them for anything.

I'll just stick with my current plans of turning the CB750 into a Cafe.

The guy wants $750 for it. It only hase 17k, but not knowing anything about Kawa's I figured I'd end up passing on it.
