Hello all! I am a young and fairly new mechanic currently working on a 1982 CB 900 F, and the carburetors look like they have been through the ringer. My associate (the old wise mechanic) wants me to switch them out for another set of less corroded/gunky carbs instead of cleaning them. Is there another set out there that will fit? It looks like the CB 750 F DOHC carbs may fit just fine, but they're still a bitch to clean and re-build and I was wondering if a set of the SOHC carbs could be swapped in with little to no rack modification? Any recommendations?
Thank you so much.

almost sure that the spacing is different DOHC VS SOHC

Also i assume that the SOHC carbs are smaller

It's going to be easier to find and use the stock CV carbs, (until you build a cafe and try to fit pods)
Stock carbs, stock airbox, runs better
The Kei-Hin CV's will NEVER run right with pods (it's been tried since the 80's)
Otherwise, switch to Mikuni or CR
