it might be a good start for a racer:

He's even got a lil' pile of hop-up parts to go with it, too.

That reminds me, Mr. Branson (or anybody else w/ an opinion on the matter), my 160 racer is bored out equivalent to a 175 now and I'm looking to call Sudco for some mikuni VM's. What size do you recommend? (No real head work done, stock cam, stock head pipes w/ Clever Dog Megs and simple baffles.)

Forget the Mukunis, get a set of Keihen PE24 race carbs. Basically your options are....old school 24mm Keihins from a SL350K1, Mukuni VM26 (pain the ass to tune on a four stroke), or Keihin PE24. The PE24's are about $100 each at Sudco, easy to jet and tune. They are what I run on my bike. Perhaps a tad too much carb for your bike, but they wouldn't be as bad as the VM26. The old Keihins are great when you can find a good set. That's what I run on Mary's bike..that will also haul ass. You'd have close to the same money in the old Keihin by the time you found a good pair, rebuilt them etc.

I'll probably bump up to Keihin PE26's next year. I'll have to special order them though.
