Really like that shot Joe. Whoever that is in the saddle, she knows how to ride. Perfect positioning on the seat. Balls of feet on pegs, not heels. Looks like she is at the far end of the friction zone. Shoulders relaxed. Head and eyes up and looking int he proper direction. Nice two-finger covering front brake (although at that lean on that surface the front brake is not recommended).

No they didn't, they just got more ambiguous about it. These days motorcycles are pitched as a gender neutral product because there are enough women and alternative lifestyle people they need to appeal that it just makes sense to treat it that way. Why be blatant about it when you can be suggestive and cover a broader audience.

In the 70's all the Brit mfgs used women models in their ads. The "norton" girls were famous, but triumph and BSA weren't above it. As far as they were concerned they were the hammer and every 15-40 year old man was the nail. The Italians weren't much better with their ads showing riders who looked like French film stars talking about how once they bought a Ducati they had to beat the pussy back with a shit covered baseball bat.

These days it is all über good looking people up to their necks in gear looking like they are having a good time or fetishist gender neutral full leathers.

Ann Margret used to shill for triumph. Ann Margret if she looked as good as she did in viva las Vegas could get me to buy feminine hygiene products today if it was merely suggested I could have a shot at her. Who's triumph's sexy spokes person today?
