I'm getting into building my '75 CB500t finally (same chassis for all intents as a CB450) and I'm looking for a beefier swing arm, something a bit more rigid than the floppy thing it currently has.
If that doesn't pan out I'll be welding on a loop brace...anyone done anything like that?

We made rectangular tube SA at Yetmans back in the sixties. Don't remember how many were made.

CB750f DOHC might work. At a glance it looks compatible but you will need to do your own homework. Also Suzuki GS1000 (I think, maybe GS750) are aluminum and even longer than CB750F - the CB750F guys use them as a swap.

Hmm....I'm not one to give up too easily.....I like the idea of an aluminum box section. I'm not above finding a viable donor piece and hacking and rewelding it. T'would be lovely to find something compatible directly but I'll not count in it.

I'll be running a set of Konis with adjustable damping and threaded spring jacks I am machining myself. Should be the bee's knees!
