Well, Its as simple as that. I live in West Chester PA, about 45 minutes outside of Phlly, and it looks like Im the only guy not on a harley or a crotch rocket. Ive just finished my cb550 cafe racer and it doesnt seem like to many people know what to make of it. The weather is about to break and hopefully Ill run into more motorcycle people, but for now its me and a buddy on a cafe style cb750.
There is a car and bike show for the rockabilly crowd this Sunday at a club called The Lagoon in Essington from 10 to 4 if anybodys interested. If there is anyone or anything cool going on around here let me know

the stoner swap was last weekend in york. i didnt go. there is racing at summit in a week and a half. where is west chester. i keep hearing the name kicked around. i'll have to mapquest it. i live just north of baltimore about 1h25min from phili just off of 95. dont feel bad, ive often said when i pull up to the shop here in town on my scrmbler i might as well be pulling up in a spaceship. keep the faith.

I feel where you are comming from. Just keep that old iron roll'n buddy. I am in WI and its a H.D. world up here. I take allot of flak for rolling up on a motorcycle that sounds like 2 pissed off chain saws.(2 stroke) I wish that I could find some more(besides me) Cafe Racer guys up here in WI. However it is cool to get some of the H.D. guys checking out your ride at a stop light or gas station. In a few weeks there is a traveling 2 bike dyno comming to the local H.D. dealer. Should be intresting. Side by side dyno and it has a christmas tree to do drag strip times as well. Hmmmm hyper active rd400 on drugs verse a sporty or full dresser. Things could get ugly.
Hang in there buddy, hope you find some more cafe racer buddies.

I'm in Lancaster, PA. West Chester is just down the turnpike from me. I feel for your brother - nothing but loud a#% Harleys around here too, Harleys and crotch rockets. I'm working on a CB550 cafe project myself; it's stripped down to the frame right now, but I hope to have her up and running by summer. I've been riding this bike for 20 years - I figure it's time to freshen her up a bit!

Right on! That gives me that much more incentive to get this bike back together. York is not quite an hour down rt30 from me. Maybe we could do a couple diner dashes - there are quite a few good ones in Lancaster county!

i need to get my bike reassembled and get it out. if any of you guys know where i can pick up a cb750k front wheel with disk, that would help.

Im pretty sure I have one in the garage, but if I do it doesnt have a disk on it. Give me a day to check it out and get back to you

the disk is secondary. buying a wheel on ebay w/shipping is just outta the question. if you have one id swing up and pick it one day. i can come up with a disk. a nice wheel would be a great place to start though. thanks for looking. let me know whenever.

Ive found the wheel. No disc and no tire, but its in good shape. 25 bucks and its yours.

cool!! i'll get the rest of the parts for it. i'll swing up one day next week and get it. hows that sound?? im going down to summit point for the races this weekend so i cant then and im busy til after the weekend into the middle of next week. is that ok?? ive been looking for a decent wheel for this thing for a while.
