The racing was fierce Saturday night at Dixie Speedway. In the AFT Twins main Sammy Halpert on an XR750 lead until about lap 20 when he tangled with a relentless Jared Mees on his Indian FTR750. Indians swept the podium after Halpert went down, though he did charge back through the field to finish 6th. Harley XG750s finished in 10,11 and 15th in AFT Twins division
In the ATF Singles class Dalton Gauthier ran away with it on his Yamaha YZF450F, running two tenths faster than the AFT Twins winner.
The Super Hooligans class was a blast to watch with Jordan Baber outpacing the field on his Harley Sportster with an Indian Scout and a Ducati Scrambler in the top three. The Hooligans were mostly Sportsters (one ironhead), with several Indians, one Ducati, one Triumph twin and a very odd looking BMW oil head twin.
It appears, at the least for the time being that Indian has it's shit together, the XR750 is not dead and the XG750 needs much development.
A good time was had by all.
