Got my renew letter, a new comp. membership card will be required for all racers starting 2007. Not much different, just fill out and notarize a waiver. Just a heads-up.

I saw it in the latest AMA rag but haven't moved on it yet.
Don't think they will be required for the 2007 USCRA season. Since mine doesn't expire until Sept. 07 I hope not.

ha! i just renewed when we did the short track races. they actually didnt mention anything about it. id imagine we'll have to have the new card or whatever if we are going to race. cant see that theyd grandfather people in. dont forget, some people have multi year memberships.

I don't think it'll be a big deal this year... it says in the letter that they hope to have people 'swipe' to sign-up for events, get results online etc. in the "near" future. We'll see.

Also says something about '...unrestricted access at all AMA events...'
Does that mean I can chill in the pits at ANY event?

That stuff really doesn't apply to the USCRA...we run AMA sanctioned races...not AMA races. It appears to be geared toward the AMA amature racers...which we are not unless you have an AMA race number.
