well for starters i have a 75CB550 that came with about 1/4 of the original harness... i have the starter and ignition wired up without issue but i need generator... if anybody has ever done this with voltage regulator and whatever else i need, please help... if theres an after market regulator that would be more well suited for me, that would be perfect...

i just finished wiring my sohc cb750. this is a nice simple wiring diagram. i dont believe there is any difference between the 550 and 750, wiring wise

glad i could help. that diagram was a godsend to me. as far as the regulator/rectifier i got mine from cycle exchange cyclex.com it works great! not much heat off it and the bike seems to keep a charge at lower rpms with it too.
