Not sure, going to check on it this week. Guy is 93 years old, builds bi-planes and has a bunch of old bikes in a barn. He mentioned the Benelli's (two, one for parts) which sparked my interest. I'd be happy just to check out his collection and hear some tales...
The before photo is the way I got it sitting in the guys back yard.
It's a Benelli 125 Sprite 5 speed. After approx. 40-60 hours of work it came alive nicely!! Having a bit of a problem with the timing and points but I'll get it!! I need a special puller to get the mag off and that's where the points etc are.
Prep your giro rides and get ready for one heck of a GREAT time.
IT"S A BLAST!!!!!!!
Kerrie...glad you like it. Hope it runs well. I screwed around with mine for about a week trying to get it to run right.....discovered a carb problem...DOH... I thought it was the pipes.
How does it run with just the three disks in it? I added another to mine...kinda loud though, don't know if the extra disk made a difference in power or not.
Yes, Dad and a friend (Bob- he and his wife will be there this weekend). It was good practice for my dad as he had to use his right hand a lot.
It is loud, but I like it. Sounds like a race bike! I did not ride it as they finished it at 11 last night. Really, I don't have much to compare it to so it will probably be fine to me.
