Just curious what bikes other than old crusty Hondas people have. I've been thinking about buying something newer and a little more reliable.

I mean I love old bikes with a passion but sometimes I think I'd get more riding time in if I had something that wasn't a permanent project, too. Or I guess I could just get another couple of old bikes in the hopes that at least one was always ready to go.

Lots of modern Trumpets, cool. I'm partial to bikes with high depreciation because it means I can buy them cheap. The smaller Ducs come to mind...

I like the KTMs too - an account guy at my agency has one and loves it. I rode it in the parking lot but that's it. What an amazing bike with gobs of torque.

Expensive, though!

I've seen a couple of cool late model Moto Guzzis that I wouldn't mind owning - I'd have a 750 Brera in a second.

That's a hot guzzi. I saw one of the early 80s 500s in our CL recently and it seemed like a pretty cool deal. Lighter and smaller than the big ones...

4 grand? Where do you live?

Mine is $600 per year for the CB450 but I live in LA, AKA uninsured motorist capitol of the world.

Seriously, if I could justify the cost of any bike currently for sale I'd have a Ducati Sport Classic in my garage. Yeah, they're 10 Gs, but man they're hot.

Although I'd have to get beyond the name on the tank - I think of Ducatis like Audis - Dudes buy them who want the image more than anything else.
