Got offered a great deal on (either) a YR-1 or YAS-1, anyone running these? any info?

If it's a great deal, do it. I hate passing up a great deal, but I usually have to, so do it! Can't remember those bikes, I'm guessing little two strokes? (although YR-1 sounds more like a Skunkworks project than a Yamaha)

The YR1 is a 350 and it's a good one. The TR2 Yamaha production racers used that motor. Good torque and power. Run the motor stock if you're new to racing. The AS1 is what the TA125 racers were based on. I have one that may turn into a racer...if I live long enough.
BTW the CT scan last week didn't come up with anything bad. Looks like JB will be in trouble this year.
And I just ordered some 2 smoke software so I won't be guessing about porting and pipes anymore.

What's the story Rosko? Did you get it?

The YR1 is a badass little 350. I worked on one when I lived in new orleans. There is also a YM1 which was more common, also a 350 and the same motor, but no chrome and more of a scrambler streetbike than the yr1. There are also 250 versions of the bikes but the designations I am blanking on, yds5 or something like that. If you haven;t looked at it yet and want me to go with you, let me know.

Well, as YOU know GEET, I've been trapped in the vortex of work and more work. Luckily I brought the 450 with me and have a temporary shop setup... As for your 380, I'm trying. I could probably have Tim let you in to get it....?

I'm hoping it'll rain tomorrow or somesht so's I can meet this guy.

Tex If I had the Dosh I'd be all over that. you wouldn;t want to do an even trade for a pair of GT380s plus parts?

This is just the wrong time of year to be selling motorcycles.

I think AD sold his B'stone (at leas that is what he told me on tuesday). Sayer over at Works (next door to bar matchless) said his girlfriend is looking for a b'stone so give a call over there and see if he is interested. He's always looking for bikes anyway.
