not seeing a whole lot in there of any value - even at $100 a bike. How close are you to this? can you go get a look? are there any brit or american bits in there or is it all 1980's japanese crap?

That is a pile o bikes.

Now, if they were 60's bikes, AND I had 40K AND a big trailer AND a half dozen pole barns I would go get them. But I don't.

Like Geeto says, parts bikes from the 90's, in that quantity are pretty much crusher fodder.

It would be fun to go look at them. Thanks for the link.

Hopefully someone will get them. We will probably see a bunch of them at MId O.

Interesting oddity for sure but I'm not in the market. You could make a lifetime of projects to keep yourself busy with one big purchase.

Other problem is moving all that. even if you did it yourself you would need to be super close to make it worth while

its a huge gamble really. $40k is a ton of money to MAYBE have one or two bikes that are worth it. most are just scrap

Really what would someone do with that?
spend 10 years and a million bucks listing everything on ebay? or flood the market with $200 parts bikes?

This would appeal more to someone that runs a salvage yard MC business. You could spend a life time listing every nut and bolt on ebay. It would be easier to just buy the property with the bikes than haul them out of there. Will this guy get his 40K - most likely not. I am sure every bargain hunter want-a-be within 100 miles of the place will be on this guy's door step looking to cherry pick his pile. If I was local - I'd take a drive.

it is also $30K overpriced. if it is 90% japanese and from the 70s-90s then at most it is a $10,000 lot. if it is 60/40 then maybe $30K at most and that is if the 40 is either big twin harley (non sportster) or triumph/norton stuff. Also from what I can see most of it looks like stock stuff. If there was good stuff in there like racing parts, tracy bodies, springer front ends, etc....then maybe but 100 non running 1992 nighthawks isn't worth $98.
