Cracks me up on the third from bottom picture. Alex looking like the typical madman, and Tanner with words of encouragment and advice on how to fix my slightly unhealthy cb350.

Man what freakin' blast!

I'm beat.

First off thanks to Jen for the ride up! NYC racebus rocks!

Great to see everyone and finally meet the rest of you fools! Monkey, Evil, Not Nicky, Pete, Jack, Aaron, Zack, Jersey girl, Soto, CHAMP, MikeO... too many to list. Good times.

I'll just speak of my own experience as I'm sure everyone had a different take on it.

RAIN?! Fukit, it was a blast to follow Zack in the rain and try to stay in the dry tire patch. Tannermatic belly pans really work! Mine was completely full (of water) after that second outing, had to clip it and drain off the water.

Zack, Aaron- you guys did a great job, I'm sure it was boring for you going so slow but it really helped. Just think after 6-8 laps you showed people the lines well enough to let 'em off on their own. Pretty impressive. The track walk with Turk, Karl and Carl really made a difference, I think I'll make that part of my racing ritual.

I goota add that after all my fussing and freaking out that my 350 had not one issue the whole day. (rain or shine) She might not be pretty but I'm proud.

So, it took me two years to get my act together I may be new slow and all that but I'm hooked and I'll see you fools at Vintage Celebration.

Thanks for all the encouragement along the way.

on a side note, if Jersey Girl starts racing you are all in trouble. She may be 'new to racing' but she knows the line and is comfortable on the bike. Damn fast. Watch out.

hey, at least hes playing with himself. if you know what i mean. is that actually matt tanner? i remember him. and thats not alex looking like a madman, thats alex bewildered at matt explaining how a motorcycle works!

its looked nice and warm. oh, no, wait, thats what we race in down here.

i wore my leathers all day, in honor of you nut jobs.

way to go guys. chris is going to be pissed he lost his ride on franks bike. so hom many females do we have racing in the club now. we need a womans class. (then maybe a womans singles class.....if you know what i mean)

nice going guys, wish i coulda been there. at least if it would have been dry.

What a great time!

I am still soaked
I mean stoked!

Thanks to all who participated in putting the school together for us newbies.
The track walk and instruction were great
Just getting to talk to folks about the whole shebang and actually ride that track was a blast- even in the rain.
Have to go back and work through it all one turn at a time

Jersey Girl -You are so not "new"
You be fast yo!
I have an image of you, one of the times you lapped me
Shooting straight across the bowl
It was a thing of beauty and now I will never forget that line.
Here is a picture of you schooling me a the start line.

I want to add to the love fest of the track day. What an awesome day! I still have a big smile on my face from it. It was so much fun riding with everyone and the instructors were very helpful. I can't wait to be back out there!

Those pictures are cool. Thanks for posting them!

I am looking forward to seeing you all out on the track!

Rosko..thanks for the vote of confidence. We will see how it all pans out when it counts. I can't wait to get out and ride again.

Jen..It was so awesome that you were out there. I am glad you got your bike together. Now you have a few weeks to get that gunk out and kick some ass! I look forward to doing some laps with you!! See ya at the Giro.

Just wait till someone gets a pic of you right after a race on a 90 degree day...adds about twenty years.

Cool pics...but I didn't see enough Clever Dog stickers being displayed.
Looks like we have a good group of new racers starting this year.

My bike was a red 350, with # 343 on it (previous owners #'s, mine is 288). Did anyone get a pic of me on the track? I would love to have one.

Great Day! Thanks for all the help from everyone. See you at the Giro.

Damn...I gotta have better stickers made up. Some brighter colors.
Some nice shiny plastic ones. I can't see them easy enough :)
