This was posted by Lou on the Skulls line, and as he does not have access here, I told him I would post it. There are three people already signed up for tires, but he would like more, as the better the quantity, the better the price for everyone. Please contact Lou directly,

For anyone who does not know it, Lou started this year on a RD350, and won the class!! He is no. 11 USCRA

I went over this issue with him, and Lou is such an honest innocent fellow that he just wants to help out Club Members. I am serious. His intentions are good.

i think if there is an issue with pete, pete should bring it up, as Lou is not trying to do any one any harm.

I'm a big fan of USCRA members selling stuff to USCRA members at very good discounts. In general I think people in the business should be making their real money off non-club members. The membership is not here as a captive audience for one's products.

In general I sell my stuff at below my costs.... I don't even want to keep track of my cost of goods...it would be depressing. But it's worth it when I see someone do well or get a problem straightened out using something I sold.

I think Lou has every right to offer this deal, as it is a favor to the other club members and done in the spirit of helping each other out. I wish all the club members had the same spirit of cooperation.

if pete doesnt like it, too bad. not everyone has to make a dime off of everything. im with jb here. i also have a feeling pete would rather be tuning, than selling tires. i like pete, but free market is free market.

If enough people used Pete's dyno capabilities he could almost make a living doing just that. It's a sorely under used tuning aid. Modern bike guys live by the dyno...a lot of vintage people don't seem to think it applies to them.

jb, you know where the nearest dyno is to me??? either jersey or richmond. although chris and those guys have one in pieces in thier shop. one day maybe they'll assemble the thing, but i have a feeling that day is far away. im sure seeling tires keeps pete busy, but id bet hed want to just go to tuning rather than make 10 or 15 bucks on a tire.

(re: fathouse dyno) yeah joe, kinda like the radar gun, or my benelli 250ss!

i also agree with johnny b. and yes joe c. too! helping the racing community is what it's all about. after selling tires for over a year, i still don't see why anyone does it, profit wise that is. it is a real competitive business. when a retail shop has to deal with the internet (re: educated and informed consumer) the margin gets slimmer and slimmer. i used to start the day comparing three competing websites just to know where i should base my prices. i felt like a commodities broker.

welcome to capitalism, let the best price win!

I've been to Pete's to buy tires, and it was my distinct impression that Lou's offer would not in any way affect his business. I love Pete for who he is and what he does (oh god-is he reading this).

I AM NOT A ****. Joe and Arron are.

Is Aaron in Germnay again?

And guys like Aaron. Evil can I advertise some print press stuff in your office. I also sell Avons but I only sell to a few people so guys who do it for a living don't get bummed.

Dude I'm just kidding. I'd like to get a shop that makes enough money from other stuff to sell us the race tyres at cost. You know as a favor in good faith that we'll spend money there for other things. I get them at cost but I don't like dealing with the hassle.
