So the big weekend at Barber is coming up in a few weeks and man, do I have a lot to do to get ready.
Last year was a pretty good year for me at the festival so this year I have reserved two vendor spots.
I'm going to have some NOS Honda parts and along with a couple of buddies will also have some bikes
for sale.

Just putting the word out on this forum only that I will be happy to provide a space for anyone that may
have a bike they want to sell. No fee is required. Of course donations to offset my cost will not be refused.
One of my buddies is bringing 5 CT70's, another has a 77 CB750F tracker, and we'll also have a 83 CB1100F.

This thing gets bigger every year and there's no telling what may be available. If you've never attended you
should try to make it this year. Last year almost 65,000 people strolled the aisles of the swap meet. Barber has
again this year added vendor spots so they are up to almost 500.

Would love to meet some of the guys that contribute to this forum. Geeto if you show up I'll have a cold one
waiting for you.

Hell yeah! I'll be there Thursday night until Sunday afternoon, flagging races Friday and Saturday. I hope to spend some time walking around the swap meets, would be cool to meet a few guys from CR.net while I'm there.
I'll be on my Guzzi, and my wife will hopefully be riding our cb350.
Post your location once you get setup, and I'll try to come check out your booth!

Tried talking some of the board members into a road trip this year - hell it's only 1,000 miles from my house or a little over 1,200 if we travel through Ohio to get Geets - but I think I started too late. Not enough time off from work/no money/etc... Maybe next year? Would love to race at Barber as well but I suspect it's like Mid-Ohio in that if you are racing there is no time to enjoy the rest of the event.

Barber is not my favorite track, but I have only raced it once and it rained most of the time. Maybe I will get a chance to get back there again. My race season is pretty short since the students are all back and we have been in school for over a week, now. Barber would have to be a fly in race for me.

Definitely looking forward to seeing two of the Britten bikes in action. The Britten Motorcycle Company put two of them on a ship from NZ on Sept 1. Said there is also something coming that has never left NZ. Didn't say what it was, though.

We made it to Birmingham around 5pm yesterday, after a nice long ride taking back roads from north middle TN, about a 5 hour ride. In the last 40 miles, the petcock on the 350 stopped up, and my wife had to ride on one cylinder the rest of the way to the house we rented for the weekend. I think I have it cleared out now, and I replaced all the fuel hoses and cleaned the tank out. Other than that, we had a great ride yesterday, and are looking forward to races, swap meets, and that badass museum. I'll be wearing a black shirt with a drawing of a moto guzzi engine on it, walking around with my wife and probably a guy with a prosthetic leg.

Got to get really close to a britten, because my buddy knows a guy who owns one. Apparently he paid $1 million for the thing. I must say, there is some very impressive engineering on these bikes. My buddy talked Jim, the owner in to letting him sit on his Britten while I took a picture. I'll upload them later.
I gotta say this is better than Disney world. For me, the only way Disney world could come close is if I got to bone all the Disney Princesses, hahaha. Even then it would be close.
