Benelli 650 Tires?

Hello All,
Well I went ahead and picked up a 650 Tornado, just in time to start fixing and improving over a long cold Minnesota winter (I was the one asking about the black one at caferace.net). As a novice with motorcycles, perhaps you pros could school me on the finer points of what kind of tires go with what kind (vintage) of bike. Are all tires (for this variety) going to be bias-ply? Also is there a special tire type that must be used with a spoke/tube rim?

I'd like to stick with Pirelli's so if anyone has a suggestion, let's have it.

I'm sure at least one of you big brains will have some knowlege to share, so thanks in advance.

im not real familiar with the pirellis. go to www.tiresunlimited.com
they have excellent prices and great to deal with from what i understand. if you call, you can ask for a guy named tj. he's supposed to be vintage friendly.

most racers like avons and or dunlops. both good choices too.

get some pics of it see we can see it sometime.
