Hello,
Is there any BMW modifiers out there? I would like to see some pics or hear anything you have to say about them. I ride a 73 R75/5 toaster tank with straight pipes and an old set of bars flipped upside down with some key bends from my pipe bender. It sounds awesome and I plan do do more mods. Look forward to hearing from you.

A bike to "oppose" the other twin

There were some guys that raced GP at Loudon that also had a mean Bimmer cafe bike. It was a R90/6 plant on a custom frame. It had Ducati 851 front forks, gorgeous spoked wheels with huge aluminum rims, a custom aluminum tank and a bunch of other fun stuff.
They went by the name of Team Obsolete. I think you might find pics of this bike on the web if their site still exists.

One of my buds rode his 90/6 cross-country last fall with no problems at all. Had an awesome time.

Thanks for the web sight of the one with the modified frame and everything else. I read the whole story. What a machine! I don't have the resources to do something like that, but it is cool that they built it themselves.

hey arron, got any of those pics i sent you from gunstock back when?? chris m has my disks. there were some cool period caferacer beemers in those rolls of film. tim is going to be down over the weekend and bucky runs a very cool beemer. there are a few others in wera. i'll get some pics and postem for ya.
