thought I'd give this place a go even though it's good a bad rap but guess everyone was right, "everyone's and professional and wants to show you how it's done on there" cheers guys enjoy your bikes as I will...

You are only responding to the negative comments. Chief said he was interested. I asked a couple questions. Be nice to see something other than rhetorical banter here.
Not everything has too have a function
False. Form follows function. Make it work, and it will look good because it looks like it works.
I'd be interested in putting it back together. Does it come with all the original parts?
It's a great bike, just not complete.
I like BMW's :)

I like BMW's :)
Me, too. Especially the monolever with the right sided rear shock.
If I had my way, that would be my next build bike. Or the bigger bike's paralever.

Remember they made a funky version of the R65-LS.

K I keep hearing the "new" tiny indicators are way brighter. Lumens this and lumens that. I'm not clear on how these measurements are being taken in this instance. I'm thinking it is flawed. In my experience the leds are usually limited directionally, so all though they may be brighter from head on they are lacking from all the required angled to make for a good light. I'm sure there are more than just lumens to consider. I'm interested, any thoughts?
They are really bright but not led they are cree (the fancy name people seem to have given to just bright led..) but I know what your saying , when people swap a headlight out for the led bulbs you lose all direction and distance of light , they seem to work fine for this purpose.
The bike doesn't have a rear guard as I was only going to us it In the summer but the underside is actually all I closed so wouldn't be to bad in bad weather , appreciate some of the comments and that it isn't to some people's taste ,glad you like the wrap haha
Hey Jackson, welcome to CR.NET good to meet ya. Taste in bikes as you know is a personal thing. I mean no foul when I say IMO your mods just come off as typical hipster mods like a 2 wheeled cliche. You ticked allot of boxes in that direction shy of a bump stop seat and clown shoe rubber. Due to that it carries little interest because it's been done to death and appears to lack originality. What was done doesn't seem to have had any positive affect on the bikes performance in any area. If anything there may be some negatives. Visual improvements (taste) are easily arguable, performance isn't. You know like the difference between scoring - figure skating(looks) and a Hockey Game(Performance). Do you have anything else you've built? Like to see some if you have. Cheers.

I put LED replacement bulbs in everything I can, but the only stop/tail/turn lights I've been able to find that are visible enough from the sides and other angles have multiple diodes.
I really like the ones that fit in the factory lights, my KLR and cb350 both have LED replacement 1157 taillight units from Sylvania that just pop into the stock housings. 1156 single stage LED's in the same configuration make for great, super visible turn signals, while maintaining the vintage production look.
The little tiny ones don't usually cut it for me, although I have seen some moderately sized ones that have the traditional reflective orange lenses over the housings, that disperse the light from more directions than just straight on. Those are more modern looking, while still serving their purpose well.
I used these to make my buddy's Suzuki DR350 street legal.

Cheers, nice to meet you. I expected some stick for the bike haha , but this style is really popular in London right now and I was never keeping it. I've done a few other bikes. 1951 sunbeam , 89' CB1 but that's got clip on and a seat cowl hahaha , the BMW and now I'm riding a newish Harley but only done a few things to that , looking for anough bike for me and to sell maybe a kz750 or something. Sorry havnt got pictures they're all on my laptop. What kind of bikes do people ride on here?

It's a mixed bag here. Just check out the build threads and photo sections. Everything from full on race to mini bikes. One thing that holds pretty true is function over form. There is a wealth of knowledge. Just not much time for mantle pieces and coffee shop ornaments. I've learnt allot in a short time here. Members seem to be pretty generous with there time when your in a dilemma. Oh and some can be pretty abrasive to say the least. Thick skin helps. Haven't done much to my road bike cuz it out performs the hell out of me so upgrades would be wasted on my riding level. Working on my old one though that is going to stay pretty stock with the exception of upgrades that can be done with out any hack and chop. Suspension electrics etc... Anyway did you check out the "Read First" when you logged in? If not it helps. Cheers

Anyone want to hazard a guess at how much it sold for?

I couldn't believe it. Just shows, you get the right 2 guys bidding and they'll pay to much.
I reckon the buyer will pull out and it will be back on eBay in a few days.....

Definitely some strange bidding a***k bumps his own bid by 500 pounds and then i***m bids 2000 pounds more. o***c, twice, bids amounts already bid.

That can be misleading as you put in your max bid now, but it will only bid up to what is the "winning" bid, then it will increase if someone else bids higher than that.

Still, just because someone has no eBay history doesn't mean they are shill bids.....but it doesn't look good

Found video of the actual builders on the internet.

I wish i was like that.... but yep 'hillsy' called it! ebay bidders are a bunch of time wasters , oh well the bike can sit for a bit or i might end up using it now and again. No point chucking it back on for the same thing again , got a couple local guys might be interested but well see if anything comes of that haha

The bid patterns should have rung the bullshit bell. A bunch of the bidders upping their own bids.
