The front brake on my 550 is so loud I've been running red lights to avoid using it. I took it apart and cleaned all the dirt out and gave the pads a light sanding to no avail. Any suggestions would be great.

Brake grease on the back of the pads.

yeah, what he said. the pads oscillate very fast and cause the squeal, the grease helps keep them from moving

Hey Slowboy,
Don't just grease the back side of the pads, all points of contact between the caliper and the pad must be greased. This includes the trailing and leading edges of the metal part of the brake pad. Easily overlooked with frustrating results.

you can always remove the grease, or just ride faster so you dont have to hear it anymore.
