I believe the cam adjustment rod is spring loaded, try pushing in on the adjustment rod while pushing in on the section that holds the cam rod in place. I wouldn't ride this until you get it figured out.

Thanks, that was the first thing that I tried, but no luck there didn't seem to be any give at all, and I din't want to try it with a clamp incase that would cause more damage.
No, I'm not riding until it's figured out [xx(] and it's perfefct riding weather here.

Something doesn't look right. The lock bolt is supposed to lock right against the taper on the tensioner. I don't think there is supposed to be another piece in that hole. Is it possible that the bolt broke and there is still a part in the threads? Does the piece in the threaded hole move at all? If you can get that piece out I think you can get the bolt back in, but it looks pretty short by the time you get the lock nut on.
