This came up in a conversation with USCRA folks this past weekend. Dave Roper brought it up I think, and said he was skeptical. Apparently a professional rode the course and said, "With some paving this would be a neat course", which can be taken as, "without paving this is not a neat course". Point being, it could be a PR stunt to boost local economy or just get the roads paved. Rope also said that there are people saying this Cape Bretton thing is a way of the IOM bowing out of playing host to such an event.
It sounds pretty cool to me, but it's a big commitment for a lot of people.
