I've a honda cb350 that I've disassembled and found one of the pistons has blown a hole through the top of it. So I purchased some pistons that are .020 over but need to know how much clearance there is supposed to be between the cylinder wall and the piston? I'm in Iowa and had a hard time finding anyone able to do an engine as small as this.

any help or ideas on where to find help would be great

I've been told to go 2 to 2 1/2 thousandths for the clearance needed.

I'm going to keep checking around until I get a definite answer though. My local honda dealer/service dosen't have an answer for me either. someone has to know.

So far everyone I've talked to has said .002 clearance. My dad used to work on these bikes during the 70's in Austrialia and .002 was what he said but told me to check up on it because it has been thirty years since he last did something like this.

Thanks also for recomending some people that do quality work.
