is it posible to fit cb750 pisotns in a cb550 with only mach the cylinders? HAS ANYBODY DONE THIS.IF SO HOW MUCH IMPROVEMENT IN HORSE POWER.

If you have enough room in the liners to bore them out enough, and if the wrist pin diameter is the same, and the deck height the same, and the valve reliefs very similar, and the dome close enough to fit or be machined....yeah why not.

IIRC it is possible if you resleve the cylinder block. There is a guy on the SOHC board who is building a cb550 with 750 pistons and a host of other cool tricks like the cb650 head and such.

The cb650 engine bolts in to the 500/550 frame (none of the internals are readily interchangible however). CB650s are cheap and if you have to do motor work might as well find a running cb650 and use that engine instead.
