I'm registering my CB175 race bike; it is basically a street bike that has been safety wired and otherwise set up for the track. Putting all the street stuff back on for registration; I pulled out an old british bike rear fender with a nice tail light/lic.plate bracket on it and upon removal noted it said "Made in Japan"! I have never seen a bracket like this on a Japanese bike and I know the fender is off a British bike.

Can anybody ID it? Just curious. it's going to be mounted under the seat of my CB175.

Thanks!

Looks like a typical Lucas style tail light assembly. Probably aftermarket if it's marked "made in Japan." You can buy them most anywhere these days.

Not sure, but I do have a rear fender and brake light for a 175 in great shape i'd be willing to let go cheap....
Thanks; but I have those items. I'm replacing the stock tail light because I don't like it. The one pictured here will mount under the seat I have without a fender.
