OK so i did the search thing and didnt see anything,so i am going out on a limb here and asking..has anyone actually had a radar gun or any sort of measuring device aimed at a CB350 full race bike to show what the actual top speed is or has been?I am curious..like say,Daytona or any nice long track where theres plenty o room to let it stretch its little twin cylinder*legs*?....reason i ask is i am considering giving Mazton a run in the future and i was looking at various records set there..in the smaller displacement classes..also,if you were to do something like that,although i realize theres tons of different fairing set ups,anyone care to venture what would come close to an ideal shape that is available thru any of the various manufacturer's of fairings(Air Tech,Glass from the Past,etc etc)..

thats ok. we still love you. chris was doing 130 on his stocker at mosport though, right?? :D stock sv650s top out around 130 or so. i always remember that, because it seems so slow to me, for something modern. and i know a cb350 wont run with an sv. 106 with no fairing's pretty fast though.

well, sure. gearing, fairings, the draft, and just the wind direction make a huge HUGE difference at daytona. the wind alone can make the difference between riding on the limiter at 110, or 115. im not sure which fairing works the best, but the k4 always gives me wood.

fairings and such, for most bikes anyhow, also change the classes in LSR


maxton?

frame made of coat hangers and a anorexic jockey will make best use of whatever power you can come up with

a bike really needs no street manners

just max horsepower and the right gearing


Bonneville.... different thing altogether

put Gogo on that bike and tell her to go fast. she was a horse jockey for a time and very light. if anybody could get a bike to its max speed, id guess it to be her!

one wheel.

you always go over 130 on one wheel, on a cb350. just ask craig.

funny, chris was looking for this thread after i told him about it. he was laughing at 130mph.

craig......i dunno man....youre a goof.

shame a 350 can't be made to go 130....

I know for a fact a few 305 Hondas with all the right stuff managed that or a bit better

So far this has been interesting..

I realize Maxton is alot different from Daytona,i do take into account all the variables..im just trin to have some fun really,not break the sound barrier..reckon when i get out to California i might have to pay a visit to Air Tech and talk to Kent..i was looking at some Aprilla full fairings that looked like it might fit..or something along the lines of what that fella has on the Triumph in the other thread..the one that set a record at Bonneville..when i get the current street bike done im working on i will post a few pictures and descritions of what i have done so far..

i need to go to the damn track soon. i get nervous hitting 100mph on the street.
i went a indicated 155 on my f4i...for like 5 minutes. I was running from a county on what at normal speeds is a straight road. It didn't feel straight going flat out though.
tex, quit surfing porn, what were you on?

i was busting balls. i didn't get it out of 2nd gear, and probably didn't hit 40mph.

i was on my CB362 Honda.
