i just found through an ad i placed in my local craigslist, a 70 cb350 with 4500 true miles on it. it's been sitting since the original owner left for vietnam in late 70 and never came back. other than having sat it looks, from the pics, to be immaculate. the bike has been under a cover since august of 70. they want only 500 for it. oh yeah, it's a 2 tone gold and brown.

some people are like slinkies, basically useless but they still make me smile when i push them down the stairs

cb350 are desirable if it has paper work ,title. They are raced and are stronger then a cb360.the cb350 is worth it well in my opinion they have alot going for it for a small bike.you could easily sell it again.

Im so far behind ,that I think Im in first.

Sounds like the old urban legend of the "63 chevy" that ends up being a split window coupe.

I think that is a real good deal. You will need tires, maybe some cables and carb and petcock gaskets and have an almost new bike.

Last week I bought a 75 cb360T, running but needs tires, tune up, battery, etc. for my son to learn on for $300. I thought it was a good deal but maybe too much?

I bought my cb360 for $300 also. I love it. It's a blast to ride. Turns out mine was stolen when I bought it (long story). The state trooper with whom I was dealing regarding said bike, did some research and told me they were selling around $1200 in good condition. Check eBay. I see them go for $800-$1000 often. $300 sounds cheap. I bought mine for my son to learn on, too. That's part of the argument I gave my wife when I picked it up anyway. "Do you want this in the garage for him to learn on when he's 16, or do you want him to borrow/steal one of the Triumphs & kill himself on something really fast?" Lame justification, but I got the bike.

Oh yeah, my son's 5.

i got four bikes out of NH from different people that just wanted them out of the yard .The last on was on the road in 84 and the others god only knows I clean them up and painted the engines .They all run perfectly after a good carb cleaning and sure rust blew out of the eaxhaust but other then that they are fine a few were out side under a tree when i found them one was in side a barn and looked worse then the ones under a tree .On laid up on its side, and the generater side was rusty so I got and ebay one and it fine.

Point is these old things usually need nothing more then a good cleaning points ,oil gas, carbs.I always wonder after they run so well why the owner parked them ,then you have to remember alot of people have no clue how to work on them and the cost of having them worked one out way the need to ride.

Id get it running see what seals leak so far I havent found any.
