i have been looking around for a 2-1 exhaust set up for my cb360, thus far the only one i have found is the MAC 2-1, this is fina accept i have read that there are problems in fitting it on the bike, more specifically, it doesn't fit. If anyone has any info on this i would greatly apreciate it. Also if anyone has any pictures of this on there bike that would be great too.

thanks

thanks for the replies, loudfastugly.com, didn't have any for a 360, but they do have one that will fit my cb550 so thats a good thing, the one from predatormotorsports.com is a little out of my budget, im 17 and i'd like to keep it below $300, please keep posting any thoughts you have and thanks again.

mike o, believe it or not (uh huh), used a 350 system on his 360. he bent it up to get it to work. im think the only 360 2-1 out there is the mac.

theres probably a problem with the brake pedal. thats most likey the reason it wont fit correctly. it shouldnt be something you can make work though. hell, they sell the thing for that. you could always drop them an email and ask them directly what the issue is, and what the common fixes are.

Is the idea of making my own two-one headers a bad one? I figure it would be cheap as hell to buy an extra set of headers and just cut and weld and then throw a newer slip-on on the back. Any comments? headers for sale?
Its a '73 CB350 twin.

I only see a few problems with that. "Cheap as hell to buy an extra set of headers" remains to be seen, maybe they are cheap as hell, idunno, but the next part "just cut and weld"? I don't know about you, but every time I've tried to do something like that, thinking it would take maybe an hour, it's turned into an afternoon of either loud cursing alternated with long periods of silence, staring at the pipe I just cut, wondering how I got that angle so fucked up... or an afternoon spent between the grinder and the torch and the mig, back to the grinder etc. and the whole thing looking like I made it in my sixth grade school shop class.

But I speak only for myself. I never did graduate that class...

Unga is right, OEM head pipes can be a bitch to weld, double walled, chrome on the outside, crap between the walls etc.

I've made several 2-1 systems for Honda twins..gotta make another soon. No two ways about it, it sucks... and I have a tube bending machine and it still sucks..takes me two days to build a set. And the tubing ain't cheap enough to give you a lot of tries to get it right.

I've heard of people using half of a 4-2 system for one of the Honda four cylinders on a twin.

Here's an example of a system I built for a 175 twin.

Wow thats beautiful. I guess Ill just have to save up and look for a good 2-1 system. Either that or somehow get quieter mufflers. The stock ones werent bad but were all rusted out and robbed power, the ones i have now (cheap JC whitney stubby chrome ones) have glass in them but it sure as hell doesnt sound like it. It was cool at first but on long rides, setting off car alarms and waking up the neighbors in the morning isnt too fantastic.
