you are really not giving all needed info for anyone to actually give you useful info

like if you subsituted higher energy coil(s) (one with less ohms) for the stocker(s)

if you didn't change the coil

you will likely find the coil will like the same gap as you ran with points

no free lunches

to be able to jump a larger jump in the secondary

you have to have more current running thru the primary

and if you don't change the coil

the benefit of the dyna is precision switching/timing as opposed to the points

if that answer does not satisfy you

why don't you keep bumping the gap open and find out just how large a gap you can run with the engine never missing a lick

just open them up a few thou at a time

then go ride the snot out of it

I don't think with the Dyna S the plug gap wouldn't be the same as with a stock ignition - .026 to .028.

have any reason why you think that merely changing the ignition switching device will actually change the amount of energy the same coil is able to reliably deliver?

the DynaS does nothing magical to the actual dwell

assuming you had points coils (4-5 ohm) you should be able to know run a wider gap

and I'd want to know just how wide it will run and do so reliably

more gap is better

gap them up and keep doing so until you find out

run the largest gap you can without it missfiring. but don't expect to feel anything different as far as power goes. i've never been able to feel a difference. you might find that the life of the plugs will be effected.
